There are a lot of guys like myself who had this operation or should have had this operation, but let the stigma of the operation get to them. In my case, I am a vet with a bad back, bad neck, and hip surgeries that made working out became a chore. My body would hurt even more after working out and working out took more of a toll on my body and I used to love working out. On top of that I became pre-hypertensive, pre-diabetic, and all that stuff that came along with it, and I suffered from PTSD- the extra weight just compounded all of the emotions and feelings that I had. And I was skeptical of weight loss surgery and the stigma, but I did some more research, and my sister works at the clinic where I had the surgery so I felt more confident about the surgery and it was something I needed to do. I had Dr. Cribbins perform my surgery at Baylor Frisco and the Texas Center was there for me and treated me like family. This is a viable option for people who want to take control of their life and be active in their life. My wife and I have 6 children and I wanted to be there for them.
