The entire process to my surgery and after it has been very easy and seamless. The staff there is always available to help when I’ve had any questions and they’re always extremely friendly and helpful. Dr Cribbins is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to, you can really tell that he has his patients best interest at heart. Plus, the office has a very cute puppy, so extra points for that. Medications for Weight Loss
How Weight-Loss Drugs Work
Some weight loss medications work as appetite suppressants, helping you feel fuller sooner. Other medications work by interfering with the body's absorption of fat.
FDA-Approved Medications
We use weight loss medications that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. These medications are properly vetted to minimize or eliminate side effects and negative impacts on patients' general wellness.
Avoiding Medical Complications
Before prescribing any medications, we will provide a list of all potential side effects so you know what to expect. Our team will also review your medical history and any medications you're taking for type 2 diabetes and other conditions. This will help us prevent adverse side effects and dangerous contraindications.
A Focus on Diet and Nutrition
Nutritional Counseling
Some overweight and obese patients benefit from a professional assessment of their diet. We can give you helpful insight into dietary do's and don't, and provide advice on healthy lifestyle changes when it comes to what you should and should not eat or drink.

Is Weight Loss Covered by Insurance?
/
Non-surgical weight management may be eligible for coverage, but it depends on your insurance provider. It's important that you contact your provider directly to see if a weight loss procedure qualifies. The team at our Plano medical weight loss center can help you file your claim.
Exercise and Physical Activity
Overcoming Your Fears
Many people who are overweight feel self-conscious about going to the gym. We understand those feelings, and want to help you overcome these fears as you continue your non-surgical weight loss journey.
At-Home Exercise Routines
If you aren't comfortable working out in public, we can develop an at-home fitness routine that will help you lose weight, get in shape, and avoid the gym until you are ready.
Adapting Routines to Your Needs
Each wellness routine takes your current physical condition into account, including any problems with arthritis, joint pain, and mobility or flexibility limitations.
Relationships with Food
Examining Your Relationship with Food
Many people who are overweight have a complicated relationship with food. Eating may be a coping mechanism when someone feels depressed or stressed out.
Identifying these behaviors is the first step to finding a lasting solution to obesity and improving your mental health.
Developing Healthier Behaviors
Once we've examined why you eat and how it affects your health, we can work on developing new habits in which food is not the only outlet for what you're feeling.
While this is crucial for good health and sustainable weight loss, creating new habits serves another important role. Exploring the psychological aspects of food and your diet can help you better understand your emotions and your deeper personal needs.
