Dr. Cribbins and Dr. Chen are compassionate and esteemed board-certified surgeons that specializes in ultra minimally invasive Da Vinci Xi general and bariatric (weight loss) surgery. They are passionate about better health and the art of bariatrics.  Mickey Patel, NP is a native Georgian, who moved to Texas and  is passionate about the art of "Metabolic Reset"  This combination makes for the most comprehensive bariatric team in the state of Texas.

Dr. Cribbins is a highly trained Da Vinci surgeon and he has used the Da Vinci surgical system technology since 2012.   The technology on the Da Vinci surgical system provides the surgeon with 3DHD magnified vision and true depth perception. This allows the surgeon to see beyond the capability of the naked eye. The Da Vinci Xi also allows the surgeon an increased precision with a greater range of motion while operating. This translates to even better results for patients and takes minimally invasive surgery to a whole new level.

Dr. Cribbins, MD, FASMBS is the Medical Director of the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Committee program at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano for 18 consecutive years, he has served as the vice-chairman of surgery, has sat on several other medical committees. Dr. Cribbins has been honored to be recognized among D Magazine’s Best Doctors for bariatric surgery for 14 years, named a Best Doctor in Collin County by D Magazine since the inception in 2011, and a Texas Monthly Super Doctor.

Dr. Edmund Chen is a published researcher, presenter, and bariatric surgeon.  He first became interested in bariatric surgery while doing metabolic research at the National Institutes of Health in Washington D.C. in 2008.  He has devoted his life to better bariatrics, safer surgery, and improved patient outcomes utilizing the latest techniques.  He has trained at prestigious institutions including The John Hopkins University, Cornell University, Northwestern University, and Duke University.
